How To Get Unstuck When At A                    Crossroads In Life

Have you ever been in a scenario where you do not know what to do  and you feel like you are drowning in a whirlpool of confusion?
Sometimes the right choice is obvious. Other times, the solution is a little less clear.

When you’re most uncertain, you’re often in a situation with great potential. This type of confusion is common when you come to a crossroads in life. The biggest decisions are often the most intimidating.

Take note: The ability to make challenging decisions increases with experience. Therefore, maturity is a plus when one is faced with a challenging situation where a decision must be made.

I've come up with 10 Ways on How To Get Unstuck When At A Crossroads In Life. Try these 10 techniques to deal with uncertainty and make intelligent decisions:

1. Be clear regarding your values. A wise choice might be easier if you’re aware of your values. Whenever you’re stuck, return to your values and take another crack at the situation. If you’ve never considered what your values may be, take the opportunity to make a list and describe what’s most important to you.

2. Gather more information. Do you have enough information to make a good decision? Take the time you need to gather the information needed to make a wise choice. Take advantage of every possible resource. Ignorance is not an excuse for making a wrong decision or being indecisive.

3. Avoid indecision as a decision. There’s a difference between taking your time and being indecisive. Make no mistake: failing to make a decision is a decision. It’s a decision to rely on luck and forces outside yourself to decide your fate. When you don’t make a decision, you lose control of your future.

4. Ask a mentor for advice. Maybe someone else you know has faced a similar dilemma. Experience counts for a lot. Get guidance if it’s available to you, but avoid blindly following the advice of others. Make your own decision. A mentor guides, but he doesn’t decide.

5. Your brain works better when it’s relaxed. An overly stressed state results in the inhibition of the higher functions of your brain. Your best ideas come when you’re mentally at ease. Take a long, hot bath and ponder your situation.

6. Get some exercise. Physical exertion can change your chemistry and provide a new perspective. Hit the gym for an hour and then reconsider your dilemma. Don’t be surprised if you have a few new ideas.

7. Meditate or pray. The choice is yours. The mental state achieved through meditation and prayer can be highly creative. You’ll be in a better place to make a good decision.

8. What would you tell a friend in the same situation? Dealing with the challenges of others can be clearer than dealing with your own. What would you tell a friend or family member? It may be wise to take your own advice!

9. Review your goals. Each action you take will make achieving your goals either more or less likely. How do your choices mesh with your goals? This can be an effective way to find an intelligent solution. Make a list of goals if you don’t already have one.

10. Consider the downside. Maybe there is more than one choice with the same potential benefits. But consider the possible downside to each option. Manage your risk. When two or more options have the same potential benefit, the choice with the least risk is often the best.

When you’re stuck, it means that all the choices seem equivalent. After you’ve done everything you can to reach a decision, CHOOSE!!!
Even if you’re still uncertain, make a choice and stick with it until you’re certain it was a wrong choice. Even a poor decision is usually better than no decision at all. Taking action might show you a new idea for a better approach. And you’ll be moving forward, instead of stuck in the quagmire of indecision. Action is better than inaction.

I hope these 10 techniques on How To Get Unstuck When At A Crossroads In Life will help you move forward towards achieving your life goals.

Are You a Victim of Circumstances or a Victim of Your Own Thinking?

Your inner world has a tremendous impact on your circumstances. Your beliefs affect your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Your actions ultimately create your life. Interestingly, many of your beliefs are unfounded, and your thoughts and emotions are largely habitual. Changing any of these internal components will affect the results you experience.

Fortunately, your inner world is under your control, though making changes can be challenging.

Change your mind and your life will follow:

  1. Start and end your day by experiencing gratitude. It’s easy to focus on what you don’t have. Instead, spend a few minutes in the morning and before bed to list your blessings.

  • By focusing on the positive, you’ll brighten your mood and increase the number of good things that come into your life.
  1. Focus on solutions. It’s a mistake to spend your time focusing on your problems. It makes you feel terrible and hopeless. It also fails to rectify the challenge you’re facing. When something is going wrong in your life, switch into solution-finding mode.

  • What can you do to make a positive change? You have far more options that you realize.
  1. Take care of your body. One of the common causes of depression has been found to be undiagnosed heart disease. When your body is out of sorts, it skews the way you interpret the world. We are guided by our feelings, and when your health is compromised, your emotions can be misleading.
  2. Stay grounded in reality. Most of us live in a fantasyland. We’re thinking about the past or speculating on the future. However, if you concentrate on living wisely and well in the present moment, the future will bring the joy you hope for.

  • Remember that life is whizzing by 24/7. The actions you take right now determine your future. You can’t act today if your mind is elsewhere.
  1. Use positive affirmations. Give yourself the gift of positive thoughts and uplifting self-talk throughout the day. Negative thoughts lead to negative emotions. Positive thoughts will fill you with positive emotions. With positive thoughts, you can change your world.
  2. Examine your beliefs. Make a list of the beliefs that are holding you back and then question them. Where did you get this belief? Why do you believe it’s accurate? Is there a possibility that this belief is false? How much evidence do you really have in support of this belief?

  1. Track your thoughts. Set an alarm, perhaps on your smart phone, to notify you each hour. When the alarm sounds, consider how you’ve used your mind over the previous 60 minutes.

  • What did you think about? Was your attention focused on your work, or did you worry about the cable bill? Did you use your mind to better your future?

  • Measuring yourself each hour will help you to stay focused. It’s too easy to fall into old patterns if you only check yourself once per day.

  1. Learn to meditate. Meditation has many physical and mental benefits. It can reduce stress, strengthen your health, help to strip away your erroneous beliefs, and bring you clarity and focus. Meditation is one action that can have a huge, positive effect on your life. Incorporate time for meditation into your schedule each day.

Most of us believe we’re victims of our circumstances, but we’re actually victims of our own thinking. No matter how bad your situation might be, someone has started with an even worse situation and led an incredible life. Changing your inner world is the key to changing your outer world.

How To Release Your Limiting Beliefs and Attract Abundance

Your beliefs color your perception of the world and your experiences.

Many beliefs are true only because you believe them to be. If your beliefs aren’t congruent with excelling in life and receiving abundance, it’s very unlikely you’ll ever live the life you deserve. When your results are falling short of your desires, your beliefs are the logical place to make a change.

Many of the beliefs you hold most strongly are inaccurate. Most of our fundamental beliefs are formed at a young age. We often learn these beliefs from sources that aren’t operating at the expert level. It’s easy to see why we have beliefs that hold us back from experiencing all the abundance we deserve.

7 Ways To Release Your Limiting Beliefs and Attract                                 Abundance

Choose a negative belief and begin the process of elimination:

  1. Challenge the belief. Suppose you held the belief that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Where did the belief originate? What was the source? Did you read it or experience it first-hand? Was it something you learned from a parent, teacher, or peer?
  • Is the source reliable? Has this source been wrong about other things in the past? Is this person an expert regarding the belief? You wouldn’t take long-term relationship advice from someone that’s been divorced 5 times.
  • Do you have proof that your belief is accurate?
  • Could the opposite be true?
  • What if your belief is wrong? What would change?

  1. How has this belief limited or harmed you in the past? List all the times this belief has steered you in the wrong direction or stopped you from taking action. Visualize your past and re-experience the pain and disappointment this belief has created. Realize that releasing this belief is a positive and necessary step.

 3. Create a new belief that serves you. It’s not enough to let go of a              belief. It’s important to replace it with a new perspective.
What is a more useful alternative to your current belief? For the previous            example, you might choose the belief, “Anyone can attract wealth and                abundance.”
  • Make a list of alternative beliefs and choose the one that feels the most empowering.

  1. Search for evidence that your new belief is possible. Do you know any wealthy people that started with little money? Seek out examples of successful people that came from humble beginnings.
  • Have there been instances in the past you’ve proven your new, desirable belief correct?
  • Make a list of all the times you’ve been successful in congruence with your new belief.

  1. Get excited. Visualize yourself living your new belief. How would your life change? How would that make you feel? What would you accomplish? Stick with this process until you feel a high level of excitement and enthusiasm.

6. Reinforce the new belief. Repeat your new belief to yourself 100                   times each day. This will only take a few minutes. Make time in the                       morning and evening to complete this task.
  • Beliefs are most easily formed through strong emotional reactions and repetition. The previous step provided the emotion. This step provides the repetition.

  1. Continue until your new belief is rock solid. It’s easy to slip back into old patterns of thinking. Continue the process of visualizing your new belief in action and performing the 100 repetitions until your new belief is unshakeable.

Your beliefs shape your results and your future. If you’re dissatisfied with your life, begin by addressing your limiting beliefs. New beliefs are easy to install. Consider how easy it was to install your previously held beliefs without intention. The key is to find evidence for the new belief, surround the new belief with enthusiasm, and remind yourself daily.

10 Key Strategies To Compete With Yourself

10 Key Strategies To Compete With Yourself and Play a Game You Can Win

Do you feel like you need to compete with others? Such competitions invariably lead to invalid conclusions. Comparing yourself with others is a case of apples and oranges.

Imagine you’re a high school basketball player. You’re 5’6” and have never played basketball before. Your teammate is 6’6”, has played basketball year-round for 8 years, and his dad plays in the NBA.

Can you really say anything about yourself based upon a comparison with this person?

No one is exactly like you or has exactly the same background. All comparisons with others are false on some level. But competing with yourself brings you all the benefits – and more – that you hope to receive by competing with others.

Use these strategies to compete with yourself and achieve more:

1.     Establish a starting point. Every competition has a starting point. If your goal is to lose weight, weigh yourself. If you want to increase your income, determine your current income.

2.     Determine the behaviors needed to see improvement. Do you need to eat more vegetables and join a gym or cold-call 10 people each week? Make a list of the behaviors that will help. Then ruthlessly put them in order from most effective to least.

·      Focus on the behaviors that will return the greatest rewards.

3.     Measure your compliance with those new behaviors. These measurements let you know how well you’re sticking to the path. If you’re on the right path, your status will move in a positive direction.

4.     Enjoy your success. Losing three pounds or earning an extra $100 is reason to celebrate. It doesn’t matter if your friend is at the perfect bodyweight or already earns $1 million per year. You have every right to be ecstatic with your progress.

·      You’ll also notice that you don’t need anyone else to notice. When you compete with others, this isn’t true.

·      You’re competing with the person you used to be. You have all the control. It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.

5.     Focus on becoming the best possible version of yourself. This is also under your control and doesn’t require competing with anyone else. Whom do you want to become? What will your life stand for? Make a decision and move toward that goal.

6.     Competing with yourself is filled with success. Can you do better this week than you did last week? Of course you can. You won’t always be successful, but you can be successful more often than not. All those smaller successes are cumulative. You can end up in a spectacular place without ever doing anything spectacular.

7.     Constantly testing yourself builds focus. You won’t be concerned with others, what they’re doing, or how you stack up. You learn to keep your attention on your own actions and progress. Everything else is just a distraction.

·      By not competing with others, you’ll feel less need to make decisions based on the opinions of others. Part of the reason people feel the need to compete with others is the desire to appear impressive.

8.     You learn about yourself. Walking the path of constant improvement is the best way to learn about yourself. You’ll quickly learn your preferences, strengths, and weaknesses.

9.     You take control over your life. You can make progress and feel good about yourself anytime you please.

10.  You win!

--> Competing against yourself might sound easy, but it also requires courage. After the first several months, additional progress becomes more challenging. You’ll hit a wall and have to dig deeper to realize new progress. After changing the easy things, you’ll eventually be required to tackle more challenging issues. Competing with yourself is exciting and challenging.

Top 10 Daily Habits To Live A Successful Life

Top 10 Daily Habits To Live A Successful Life

Your daily rituals ultimately determine the quality of your life. Happy and successful people do different things each day than the average person.

And they do those things consistently. This is great news! A few small changes can transform your life, but patience is required. Instead of focusing on big changes, consider making a few minor adjustments.

The odds of successfully making a change are much higher when that change is small.

Effective habits result in a more productive life:

1.    Make yourself a priority. We’ve all been taught to worry about others. Self-sacrifice is viewed as altruistic and noble. But you’re important, too. Give your emotional and physical health the priority it deserves. You’ll then be in a better position to help yourself and others.

2.    Set one or more goals each day. If you don’t have an objective for the day, you’re much less likely to make the most of it. It feels good to wake up with a purpose. You’ll also get a lot more accomplished. Give yourself the gift of feeling a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day.

3.    Communicate effectively. Communicating well with others enhances relationships, both personal and professional. Poor communication creates misunderstanding and unhappiness. Ensure you understand others and they understand you.

4.    Get enough sleep. Studies have consistently shown that getting at least seven hours of sleep is critical. The research shows that everyone performs better on mental and physical tasks after getting at least seven hours of sleep.

5.    Meditate. A few minutes of meditation each day can provide significant results. It’s relaxing, provides a mental break, and clears the mind. Think of it as exercise for your mental muscles.

6.    Spend quality time with those you love. Isn’t that what it’s all about anyway? Many of us spend all day toiling at work, only to come home and sit in front of the TV. Spending meaningful time with others will make you happier and provide the motivation necessary to reach higher levels of success.

7.    Learn at least one new thing. Imagine how much you’d know in five years if you learned something new each day. Ideally, you’ll learn something that’s both interesting and useful to your future. You’ll be proud of your personal growth. You’ll also be more effective in the workplace.

8.    Be grateful. When life is challenging, it’s easy to forget just how much you already have. Spend a few minutes each day and make a list of all the things that fill you with gratitude.

·      The list is longer than you think. It will enhance your mood and make it easy to move forward.

9.    Use time effectively. Time is the one thing you can’t get back. Whether you’re a billionaire or the average Joe, everyone has 24 hours to navigate each day. The most successful people use that time more effectively. Whether working or having fun, try to make your hours as productive as possible.

10.Exercise each day. Exercise is great for your health, both physical and mental. It’s a great time to think and unwind. Try to squeeze in at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. You’ll benefit in many ways.

It can be that easy to feel better and accomplish more. Enhance your daily rituals and you’ll enhance your life. Small changes can bring big results over time. Develop habits that guarantee a better mood and greater success.
